Medical Students and Intern Rotators

One of the most important things a student can do to understand the program and to make an impression is to rotate with us!  We offer month-long as well as two-week rotations in the Emergency Department.  You will be scheduled to work 15, nine-hour shifts.  Each shift, students are pre-assigned to work with an attending or a senior resident. Students are additionally expected to attend weekly lectures and to complete a number of procedures.  At the end of the rotation, students will give a brief presentation of a medical case seen during the four weeks spent with us.  Our core faculty sponsor SLOE letters for those who are interested in EM.

Shadow Shift

If you are interested in the program but were unable to join us for a full rotation, we welcome you to spend a shift with a core faculty member to experience how our Emergency Department runs.
