Medical Students and Intern Rotators
One of the most important things a student can do to understand the program and to make an impression is to rotate with us! We offer month-long as well as two-week rotations in the Emergency Department. You will be scheduled to work 15, nine-hour shifts plus one EMS ride-along. Each shift, students are pre-assigned to work with an attending or a senior resident. Students are additionally expected to attend weekly lectures and to complete a number of procedures. At the end of the rotation, students will present a brief PowerPoint presentation of a medical case seen during the four weeks spent with us. Our core faculty sponsor SLOE letters for those who are interested in EM. To learn more or if you are a student or Genesys intern who is scheduled to work with us, click on the orientation packet link below.
